I'm thrilled to share that i completed the Chiltern 50, a 31-mile challenge, to raise money for the Oxford Hospital Charity. This journey was especially significant to me because it comes just 11 months after my last open-heart surgery (my fifth all together) where I spent 12 hours on the operating table. Since then, I've faced weeks where even breathing was a struggle, each breath reminding me of how fragile life can be, how crucial the support and care from my family and the incredible teams at the hospital were in getting me back on my feet. While in the hospital, there were days when the thought of getting out of bed seemed impossible (some days that thought won), let alone walking, and the physical effort required to do so was overwhelming.
